Create your own trilogy using related films. *some spoilers

Sort of like how the original Dawn of the Dead was renamed Zombi in Italy and then Fulci made Zombi 2 to be it's sequel over there. Plus, I've had this idea about the Halloween moves for awhile now.

Anyway, I'll start with the Halloween series.
Halloween (1978) - But of course.
Halloween 2 (1981) - Begins where the original left off.
Halloween H20 (1998) - 20 years later, Michael is back and Laurie has to end his reign of terror once and for all.

Also:
Dawn of the Dead (2004) - It starts in a town in Wisconsin.
Diary of the Dead (2007) - The plauge spreads across the country and around the world.
Land of the Dead (2005) - Years after the original outbreak and the world-wide spread of the plague, here is the story of a band of survivors in a post-apocalyptic setting.

It works especially well when you understand two things.
1. Assuming zombies may work on instinct and memory (like why they all went to the mall in Dawn), you can assume that Cholo (John Leguizamo) probably turned into a zombie before he even reached Kaufman (Dennis Hopper), who he was trying to kill anyway.

2. The rednecks using zombies for target practice in Diary kind of coincides with how they were being used for amusement in Land.

I like:

Halloween (1978)
Halloween II (1981)
Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers (1988)

as a trilogy better. Ends with how it all began.
