Hey Hollywood you can use other songs than Can't Hold Us for trailers

Just an FYI more than a rant.

To make matters worse its in other various product commercials as well.

Oh and money is already down for Blurred Lines for every ad/trailer for everything next year...

I'm sure tampon commercials and a Holocaust drama trailer will have these on there sooner or later.

The quality of the song is irrelevant the obnoxious overuse of it is.

Thanks for the link, Creeky. I'll be honest here. I have never even heard that crap before. And it's got over 93 million views? Wtf?

This is something that is simply a fad. If you guys look back at all the years you'll see every year there's always that one song used throughout every other trailer. You guys remember "Click, Click, BOOM" in 2001?

In all fairness, I do find the non-rap parts of the song pretty catchy. But it is annoying to have one song in so many ads - it just creates confusion.

Man, remember the time when it was considered uncool to "sellout" and put your music in advertising?

At least they're no longer using "Solsbury Hill" by Peter Gabriel in the trailer for every single feel-good movie that comes out.

Reminds me of the days when More Human Than Human was used for every Action movie trailer.

Then again, that song is awesome!
