Notoriously media shy, Bush tormenting documentarian Michael Moore is yet again displaying his legendary, non-publicity seeking humility.
He's decided to release his next film, SLACKER UPRISING, free online via Blip TV on September 23rd with a DVD release to follow on October 4th. As with all his previous films, UPRISING stars Moore, this time on his 62 city tour through college campuses in swing states during the 2004 presidential election attempting to rally young voters to, well, vote.
Why is he doing this? Apparently, it's just a nice gift from Uncle Mikey to little ole us: "This is being done entirely as a gift to my fans. The only return any of us are hoping for is the largest turnout of young voters ever at the polls in November. I think Slacker Uprising will inspire (millions) to get off the couch and give voting a chance." Aww, shucks, almost brings a tear to the eye. Check out the flick's trailer below.

So, are all the people on this site who hate Moore, going to vote Republican this year? Why not give the democrats a shot at this time around? Isn't 8 years of Red rule enough? Don't be selfish with the country guys, let the the other party take a swing at it.

In some ways this is like micheal moore getting a colonoscopy on video and telling us its our civic duty to clean out our own system by voting. After all, the last few years have been kind of shitty in many ways and a lot of people seem like they are backing up the system but then again that is why we have the power to vote in the first place. But then again we also have the right saying thats all a bad idea. I guess that only proves my point all the more. Like our government in many ways, the right is just plain full of shit. |

If you're so open-minded and can juggle all of these contrary opinions like you say, I suggest a viewing of the non-Moore documentary entitled "Outfoxed". It gives the lowdown on Fox "News" and how they manipulate their viewers. I'm glad the Dems boycotted Fox during the primaries. Why validate an outright, vulgar PR arm of the Bush White House?
I know because you're arguing for the status quo as a Republican, you think you're right, or that you have "the courage of your convictions" (how is it courageous to go along with the majority?). If anything, the left has it harder because they're really working to change things as they are and largely taking the high road to do it. The right? They have no problem lying to, manipulating, and pandering to their base to get what they want: which is really to make the rich much richer and make everyone else their service class.

A lazy sloth? Really. Like him or not, the guy makes fucking feature length documentaries. Lot's of them. Ever try that? Talk about fucking hard work. Sorry ne's not pumping iron or building houses, but he's working a lot harder then a lot of people. making a movie is hard as hell, especially one that requires so much reseach and planning like a documentary. agree with him or dont, but dont assume your a harder worker then him because of his weight. |

I love how the "brave left" loves to villianize Fox News. That news network is trouncing CNN and MSNBC in the overall cable news ratings for a reason. It is the only network that consistently offers viewers more than one opinion on the issues. Ask yourself why the Democrats led by the nut cases at Daily Kos or Moveon.org had encouraged Democrats to boycott Fox News during the primaries and why Republicans continue to subject themselves to leading questions from the liberal folks at CBS, NBC, ABC, CNN, MSNBC, NPR and PBS—the courage of their convictions. The scary thing about the a-hem, "journalists" at the major networks is that they actually believe they are being "fair and balanced." The lies that are propagated today by the thought police on the left are nothing short of modern day Nazism. If they had the facts to back up their argument, they would show up to defend them. But they have no facts to back up their lame-brain world view. Michael Moore prefers to make propagandist films falsely labelled as documentaries so that his narrow view cannot be challenged. He prefers speaking to mind-numbed slackers who he knows he can manipulate. It's funny that we already know what Sarah Palin had for breakfast but do you really know anything about Barack Obama's past that qualifies him to lead this nation? Just ask yourself that question folks. |

If so prove it. Back it up before just posting shit on a message board like a lazy ass (come on you oh-so "productive" righty tools). I want specific examples. Because while he does sensationalize to make a biased point (something FOX NOISE does every second of it's existence), I don't think his facts are wrong.
But if the Bush regime has taught us anything, it's that you can play fast and loose with facts.
