Bad idea + bad company making this bad idea = bad movie.
Friday The 13th. and ANOES were done right the first time,so why do it a second!!?Its like the Mona Lisa, this painting was painted the splendidly the first time,so if we made a new Mona Lisa by a hack,money-hungry whore ala michael bay for the new generation (She'd be holding a Razr)would she be better?NO. |

THIS IS A BAD IDEA
"Zeitgeist" was the main reason the original Friday movies worked...
the world has changed, and I don't think this premise could be succesful anymore...
people will laugh at jason, because that's what people has been doing since the last decade. |

LOOKS AWESOME!
I cant wait.
And for all the NOES people, watch it again for
A: The terrible terrbile FX. Like the bad fake arm when he punches through the front door window.
B: the bad bad stretch armstrong scene in the alley.
Maybe in the remake when Fred cuts off his own fingers, his glove wont switch hands this time?!?! |

yes because demystifying every ridiculous monster is exactly the right idea, I mean it worked so well in R Zombie's Halloween reboot *note sarcasm* We don't need to explain every detail of why these monters are what they are, that ruins the fear they generate, the fear of the unknown |

Lame poster. Lame idea to even begin with. Am I alone on this?
I'm reading all these posts saying that TCM and F13 can benefit for being remade. A quote from Randall Graves on Dante's love life, "Let the past be the past." There is no point of this being remade, especially for a watered down PG-13 audience who's going to be constantly on their cell phones every minute not paying attention to the actual movie.
I'm tired of all these remakes, man. Release All the Boys Love Mandy Lane already! |

AMEN!
I'm looking forward to this remake since the Texas Chainsaw reboot was so cool. I do agree that Elm St. should be left alone. Friday and Texas were low-budgets films that benefited from reboots, but Elm St was done right the first time! |

AMEN DINGOSTYLE!
I don't know what to think of this just yet. I love the series and even loved Jason X. This, to me, is taking away the epic feel that Jason has. Being killed and brought back to life several times, fighting hell/relatives/risen dead guys in lakes/Freddy, living through the death of Earth, becoming mechanized in space and ending up on another planet.
This is just saying that none of that ever happened in his character's story, which takes away the fear of him in general-The fact that he can't be killed and that he is a looming danger wherever you are.
This is going to be a Jason for a new generation.
I would have much perferred a prequel telling how his character becomes the maniac we all know and love. |

I SAID IT BEFORE...
...and I'll say it again, I'm looking forward to this remake. Every single one of the entries of the Friday The 13th series are terrible! All of them suck! This is one remake I welcome.
Now, Nightmare on Elm Street should be left alone. Can I get an AMEN?! |

The Chainsaw remakes were great and this is by the same people. Jason needed a reboot. This looks fine to me so far. I'm excited.
P.S. Halloween remake was awesome... |
