Frye? Frye? Cameron’s house from Ferris Bueller up for sale

“The place is like a museum. It’s very beautiful and very cold, and you’re not allowed to touch anything.”

So says Ferris in FERRIS BUELLER’S DAY OFF of his best friend’s home. We never see Cameron Frye’s parents but we assume they make a lot of money and aren’t very loving to their son. And if you’d like to follow in their fictional footsteps and own a piece of movie history, the house that John Hughes used as a the Frye residence in FERRIS BUELLER is now for sale.

Before you ask, the property does come with the infamous windowed garage where the Frye family stored their Ferrari (it, sadly, does not come with an actual Ferrari). “Cantilevered over the ravine,” the realtor’s description says, “these two steel and glass buildings, which can never be duplicated, have incredible vistas of the surrounding woods.”

Of course you must be willing to part with some cold, hard cash to snag the Frye house. The property is currently listed at $1,650,000 though it’s noted that the price was recently reduced (which might help defray the costs of buying curtains to cover all those windows).
