Galactus IS in FF2! Mar. 2, 2007

It wasn't long ago that FANTASTIC FOUR star Ioan Gruffudd asserted that Galactus was NOT in RISE OF THE SILVER SURFER. I thought that would be as close to definitive word as we would get and end the speculation but I was way off. Gruffudd was either misinformed or spreading misinformation himself as directory Tim Story confirmed today on his MySpace page that Galactus WILL be in FANTASTIC FOUR 2! He says, "One things for sure, you can expect to see [Galactus]." He adds, "we haven't finished the design for him/it so be careful what you read and believe." This may be in reference to Ain't It Cool's recent assertion that Galactus might appear as he did in the recent "Ultimates" line at Marvel. Story has a little more to say about Galactus and also briefly touches on Doom in his post. Click here to head to Story's MySpace page to read for yourself. RISE OF THE SILVER SURFER hits theaters on June 15th.

Extra Tidbit: How is it that we can get Galactus in a FANTASTIC FOUR movie but no goshdarn Sentinels in an X-MEN movie?!

People will never stay home.

That's why Hollywood is still making fucked up movies. They KNOW they can get away with it. The know the public is stupid enough to watch is so they make it and dish it out with glee. It's only up to the true lovers of cinematic art to wait until a generally amazing film comes along to go to the theaters.

But you know, sometimes it's kind of cool to see even a medicore film in theaters just for the hell of it. It helps if you sneak in though, that way you can say that you saw it but didn't support it's earnings. lol.

I wish people would stay at home rather than go watch FF2? Don't they remember fantastic four 1? We should do some prevention and watch good movies instead!

First of all, the line from the trailer is not proof, because the concept in the original comics was that no one knew about Galactus, but they could associate the Silver Surfer showing up places and the planets wouild be destroyed, which is essentially what happens, because where he goes Galactus follows.

I'm still not convinced about this. I'm afraid it'll be like the fake Sentinels in X3. Of course, I'm still not convinced we'll see more than 5 seconds of Venom in Spidey either.

I gotta agree with Jasonadams, not real big on the first one but this one looks cool. Maybe even enjoyable. So far I see no reason not to see ths in theatres.

On the other hand, it sounds like Tim Story will include the real Galactus in this movie. He says that "MOST will be satisfied".

Kinda creepy that the doll Galactus on the image above is heiling.

I wasn’t a big fan of the first movie, but I’ll be a monkey’s bare assed uncle if the sequel doesn’t show some promise so far.

And maybe it’s just me, but seeing as how the movie comes out in about three months, shouldn’t Galactus already be designed by now so they can be doing effects stuff? Unless he’s only in the movie for thirty seconds or something...

An obvious refernce to Galactus, and hard to explain without him.
