Here’s a clever little mashup trailer put together from pieces of golden age comedies to show what it would be like if GHOSTBUSTERS had been made in the ’50s. Actually, it’s more like empirical proof that GHOSTBUSTERS was made in the ’50s.

And here I thought ghost ray-gun technology wasn’t invented until the ’80s. It’s pretty interesting to watch all these clips and see where the GHOSTBUSTERS we know and love harvested its ideas. But wait, oh God, I can already see it now.
