Strike Back below!
by: Daniel Barna Oct. 15, 2008

Not much is known about the upcoming THE HAUNTING IN CONNETICUT except that it stars little known actress Amanda crew, a little better known actress Virginia Madsen and Casey "Elias Koteas" Jones. I also happen to know that it's based on true events and that not many people will go see it. If anyone has anymore information on this film, you can reach me at 1-800-i-dont-care. Check out the poster below.

Casey Jones
It's sad but true: Mr. Koteas has been typecast as the "Casey Jones" ever since Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

The kid in the film (the main character I guess) looks a lot like an emo version of the guy who used to do the Dell ads (Ben Curtis).

As long as there true cases of paranormal activity, there'll be movies that can be made out of them.

That said: nice poster, and I'm game for it.

This one actually is. This case was investigated by some the most renowned paranormal investigators in the field. It's still a huge source of discussion and controversy in the field of supernatural investigation. In fact, John Zaffis, the head investigator on the case is a consultant on the production.

RE: Poopy-Underwear
Well, films have got to be based on SOMETHING in order to make money (nowadays at least), be it another film, a book, comic, video game, or even these supposed "true stories". My guess is that they advertise "based on true events" to inform the audience of their lack of originality... which (according to hollywood) is what the general public wants.

Why do they always have to use the "Based on True Events" line? They hardly ever are.

The TLC doc of the same name, based of the same accounts was pretty damned good, and pretty damned creepy, so why wouldn't this be at least... good? I hope it is, cause me loves a good haunting.
