Hellraiser director

In the interests of full disclosure, HELLRAISER scared the shit out of me when I was a kid. It was one of those horror movies that I was probably a little too young to see and the flesh ripping and all was a little much for me. I’ve been slightly traumatized ever since yet I’m sadistically looking forward to the upcoming remake. I’m even more intrigued now that Dimension has hired Pascal Laugier, director of MARTYRS, a movie that “scared the f*ck” out of our horror expert Arrow. Laugier is pretty pumped at the chance he’s getting and said, “This is a dream project for me…I know Clive Barker’s work very well, and I would never betray what he has done.” It’s unclear if Laugier will start over with a new script or if he will work with the current version, written by Marcus Dunstan and Patrick Melton. Whatever it is, let’s hope there are some flesh ripping scenes so I can finally get over this HELLRAISER fear I’ve been living with.
