I've defended Megan Fox on this board, and by the way this article is quite respectful as opposed to the bashing some sites are prone to. I don't agree with him, but I find it rather classy of a guy who's taken a beating from the media to defend someone who's also taken an unfair beating. I don't agree with Rourke on her acting prowess, Mick (She's very good in Jennifer's Body, though), but I haven't seen the movie. Still, it's hard to think she's as good as Evan Rachel Wood and Keira Knightley

I don't agree with Rourke on her acting prowess, Mick (She's very good in Jennifer's Body, though), but I haven't seen the movie. Still, it's hard to think she's as good as Evan Rachel Wood and Keira Knightley (who he also spoke well of). And who knows? I never would have guessed Knightley would give a performance as good as it was in PRIDE AND PREJUDICE after PIRATES. Still, this is a classy move, Mick, plain and simple. Good for you, and I hope you ride this comeback out to where you give us another SIN CITY, another WRESTLER, and another ANGEL HEART.

I haven't seen anything from Megan Fox that would prove her talent is as big as Rourke says it is but then, I've only seen her in a Michael Bay movie. That's the thing with pretty actresses: they have to go through a lot of shitty girlfriend parts before they get a good role.

I don't think she'll ever be great but I'm open to change my mind in the future.

I would also like to add, while I thought she was great in Jennifer's Body (yes, I did like her performance better than Amanda Seyfried's), I don't consider her to be as good as some of the other actresses Mickey Rourke has worked with. Keira Knightley and Evan Rachel Wood are better in my opinion. The script for Domino might not have been very good but Keira's acting was excellent. And I wouldn't say Megan Fox is the most AMAZING actress ever but I think she's a lot better than people give

Transformers 1 and 2 were dumb action movies, in How to Lose Friends and Alienate People she played a dumb actress who's only requirement is to act confused. I thought the writing in Jennifer's Body was a huge step up from those movies and while I thought she was hilarious, you just might not have liked her character or thought it wasn't a stretch for her, but I thought it was very talented comedic acting. But, we haven't seen her in a drama yet. If Mickey gets emotional when she cries, maybe we will too. I think the reason for the hate is because she's MORE popular for being hot than anything else.

Two things wrong with that statement. 1: Thus far Fox has demonstrated absolutely no talent for acting whatsoever. 2: Personally, I don't think unattractive covers it. She looks like she's made of plastic, is buried under make up that appears to be a foot thick and seems to be both hilariously stupid and a bitch. I wouldn't go near her with someone else's cock.

People say that she can't act because she's beautiful? No, people say she can't act, because she can't act! All the movies I've seen her in she's failed to turn in a good performance. "Jennifer's Body" was awful and the only good thing about the movie was Amanda Seyfried. Give us a break Mickey.

I've always thought Megan Fox had potential as an actress, even since Tranformers. I suspected if given the right material, she'd be great. I loved Jennifer's Body, it was one of my favorite movies last year, and I thought Megan Fox did a wonderful job, she delivered her lines perfectly, and was hilarious.
