This may or may not seem like an odd selection of Babe choices this week. Earlier in the week, I selected Katie Holmes as the Hot or Nottie, most likely with people not catching on that she was the more recent flame to Batman, in Nolan's amazing resurrection of the series. I myself like to pretend that the BATMAN & ROBIN movie didn't exist and shamefully admit that I actually thought Val Kilmer was a smokin' Bat dude. Anyhoo... here's the women wooed by Batman in the first three movies from the days of what were.
I was never a fan of the first movie and thought that Keaton was an odd choice to play Batman. But putting that aside and just thinking about Kim Basinger as Vicki Vale back in 1989, the height of what hotness Kim could bring to the screen, makes me forget a little about how hammy Jack Nicholson chewed through that film. I always will have a soft spot for the Kim of those years, in particular when she was the dim-witted tart from outer space in MY STEPMOTHER IS AN ALIEN. The weird dress she wore to the Oscars that year, coupled with her rambling diatribe about how Spike Lee's DO THE RIGHT THING should have been nominated, I could have done without though.
What's greatest about Michelle Pfeiffer in the second Burton-directed Batman was that not only did she serve as a potential love interest for Batman when he was sashaying around as Bruce, she was also his foil when in her Catwoman attire. And if her hotness wasn't enough for you, Pfeiffer trained to do a large portion of her own stunts, including learning how to pull of cartwheels in stilettos. Now THAT'S a babe.
It's easy to dismiss Botox face these days, what with her blank expression and erratic role choices. But back when Kidman played Dr. Chase Meridian, she gnawed on that role like it was a piece of steak and the bitch actually ate something. Indifferent to Bruce, the good doctor preferred to get her jollies calling the Bat Unit to the rooftops in an attempt to seduce him. Back then, she really could've pulled that seduction off with just about anyone.
So, taking into consideration what these women were like in their roles, tell me which Bat Babe is your fave.
