Will Ferrell is a champion at taking a simple joke and going over the top with it. Seems to be no different with his latest movie CASA DE MI PADRE in which he speaks some pretty abysmal Spanish for laughs. The other thing Will is phenomenally good at is getting hot chicks to be his female co-stars. Here are but three of them to choose from in this week's battle.
Anna Friel
I love me some Anna Friel. She's managed to do near nude photoshoots on a regular basis that come of sexy instead of titillating. And in the haphazard mess that was THE LAND OF THE LOST, she kept a strong head on her shoulders to corral the men of the movie and keep things flowing at a potentially reasonable pace. I could watch her make mashed potatoes for hours, that's how much I dig her.
Eva Mendes
Eva Mendes has such a deft hand at comedy, I'm surprised that she bothers doing much else, save for the fact that she's saddled with being a gorgeous woman and most people don't think you can be both beautiful and funny at the same time. From the minute that she and Ferrell start mixing it up in THE OTHER GUYS and you understand that she can more than hold her own against his utter ridiculousness, there's a tingling in the no-nos and a tickling of your funny bone(r?).
Genesis Rodriguez
Ferrell's most current co-star, Genesis Rodriguez, might not have a lot of credits to her name but before she started slamming out back-to-back American projects, she was a familiar and welcome name in the households blasting telenovelas. From what I've heard from JimmyO, she's a super sweet gal who is ready to put in the hard work and if she can do it with Ferrell, that bodes well for her upcoming projects against other huge names like Jennifer Lopez, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Paul Walker.
