This is the summer month of the Leary. Aside from being the main draw (for me, anyhow) to THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN last week, he's now the only voice character of the ICE AGE: CONTINENTAL DRIFT that has any pride left for those of who end up getting dragged to these movies by the kids. Looking over his long career, he's been pulling in hotter tail the older he's gotten. Let's discuss.
I suppose I could have brought up that travesty of a rom-com that Leary did back in 1996, TWO IF BY SEA. Sandra Bullock was at the height of her adorable rom-com stereotype and there might have been some dirt on the comedian from the time the two worked on DEMOLITION MAN together, but I thought we'd look more at his estranged hot wife from "Rescue Me," actress Andrea Roth. Mainly in small roles on television, I like the back story on Roth more than anything a Canadian of Scottish descent. Hot.
Now on the USA show "Necessary Roughness," (they just make these things up like bottles of water, don't they?) Callie had previously been rocking the TV screen as Leary's side piece on "Rescue Me." I guess I should be watching this show, even if it just ended its 7 season run in 2011. Couldn't hurt more than tuning into something on the USA network.
Working with Lopez has got to be easy if you're both in a recording studio at two different times and some audio genius works the two of you together with some digital equipment. Still, she's the female to his male in this latest adventure in screwing with the space/time continuum (seriously, are there any parents explaining how there's no possible way all of these movies could have actually taken place in terms of the different time periods, so that's counting for something. Perhaps just that this feels like a good mix of three to me.
