I once did a Hot or Not feature on Anna Paquin and mistakenly referred to her as being an Aussie. I was thrashed about the head by the people commenting, showing me the error of my way by pointing out that she's from New Zealand originally (even though she wasn't raised there) and therefore a Kiwi and not an Aussie. Which reminded me of another Kiwi and her equally sharp tongue lashing of Mary Elizabeth Winstead in DEATH PROOF (now there's a mental image) of how you should never mix up the two. So... here's your Kiwi Battle.

Obviously I've got to let Anna get a shot at this, even though I would refer to her beauty as being a little better on the 3 dimensional screen as being better than the photos I normally see of her. I watched the first season of "True Blood" and liked her as Sookie Stackhouse, that while she was hormonally drawn to her fang banging lover, she wasn't just some stupid empty-headed pushover who believed her life revolved around him. (Stephanie Meyer... do you hear me?) Anyhow, she's a Kiwi in blonde these days and looking very grown up compared to the little girl that a lot of people remember her as.

There was always something great about the subtle lesbian tinge going on on "Xena" that gave me a thrill over Lucy Lawless. The fact that she regularly goes out in public and has nipple slips, or the whole dominatrix thing in EUROTRIP just adds to her Kiwi fruitiness that is so delectable. Sure, she's of that MILF age, but who says that experience can't triumph in a battle like this?
Zoe Bell
That chick who tongue lashed MEW was Kiwi Zoe Bell, best known prior to that movie as being a stunt woman for Lucy Lawless on "Xena" as well as for Uma Thurman in the KILL BILL movies. But if you ever get a chance to watch the documentary DOUBLE DARE, you get a dose of her personality and dammit, she is one f*cking badass chick. This isn't a put-on. Zoe Bell is down. And considering how cute she is, I'm glad that she's now getting a chance to be showcased in movies like WHIP IT! and BITCH SLAP. (She's coordinating the stunts on the second of the two. Total badass, I tell you.)

And why are people being mean to Cherry? Ridiculous! The moment that ruined Death Proof for me was when those bitches left Winstead with that jerk in exchange for the car.
