With a body that looks this good, how can so many people be so angry with Beyonce
right now? The singer was in New York on Saturday night at the SVA Theater in New York for the director's cut screening of her new visual album... but it seems that very release has got a bunch of retailers panties in a collective bunch. While she's currently the record holder for the fastest selling album on iTunes, the fact that Mrs Carter decided to do so before the record's official street date has caused many of those retailers to refuse to sell the disc. The biggest brick and mortar store so far has been Target, one of the bigger number pushers in the dwindling tangible CD market. Amazon has also jumped into that raft, selling only the mp3 versions of Beyonce's latest self-titled release. Not that I think that going to hurt business for the diva in any regard but it poses the question of how this move will ultimately affect the overall release and sales of tangible music in the future.
