Hilary Swank has always been a challenge. She's incredibly talented and accomplished as an actress, and also in possession of one of Hollywood's tightest little bodies. Unfortunately, things tend to go wrong in the face area. I wont go so far as to call her ugly, because when properly prepared and viewed from the right angle, the sometimes severe lines of her face can come together to produce a rather beautiful woman. The problem is that such conjunctions rarely happen, particularly in her movie roles, which often feature her as women unconcerned with the rigors of maintaining beauty.
So she's hot, but only sometimes, and pretty, but only from certain angles. Therein lies the quandary with Hilary.
