Body Shop: Amber Heard

Nov. 23, 2009by: Mr. Pink

When I swung by the AITH Halloween Podcast, Jared Pacheco asked if I'd ever BS'd today's hottie. Obviously the answer was no, but I knew I'd rectify that quickly. She made a huge splash in the genre community with ALL THE BOYS LOVE MANDY LANE, and since then has slowly wormed her way into the public consciousness. Slower than I would have expected actually, because she is surface of the sun hot. Let's get acquainted with: AMBER HEARD!

Check her out in - The Rum Diary

ASS (8/10):

Usually low cleft and a full underside indicates booty disaster, but Heard bucks the trend. She is not gifted with the most naturally pleasing ass attributes, yet the overall effect is still quite striking. There's something especially enticing and oh so squeezable about those plush lower cheeks she's rocking.

BOOBIES (10/10):

There is something otherworldly about Heard's Birds. They look larger than they are, almost levitate on her chest, and possess, at least to my eyes, a near hypnotic quality. I can't quite explain what's going on with them, but I luvs it. And since I also luvs ya'll, here they are in action (NSFW)

FACE (10/10):

There are a ton of good lookin' chicks trolling the shallow waters of Hollywood, but not a lot of the stop you in your tracks variety. Amber is one of that rare breed. She's breathtaking, and manages to look great dolled up as a vixen, dressed down as a girl next door, or just strolling along somewhere inbetween. This lady is bonafied.

PERSONALITY (7/10):

Amber hasn't given us too much insight into her inner workings yet, but for a young starlet who doesn't mind getting naked she is very self-possessed and definitely knows how to present herself. She's also an atheist, and in my experience atheist's tend to be smarter than your average folk. Since you all know how I dig a smart chick you won't be surprised that she gets some cred for that. And looking at her upcoming slate we'll no doubt know a lot more soon.

CAREER (7/10):

Heard is doing a good job of landing solid roles in a wide variety of interesting films. She's shown herself adept at horror, comedy, and drama. She's prepping a large slate of releases in the next year or two and is even dipping her toe in the producing pool. Given how gorgeous she is, there appears to be a studious caution she's employed to avoid getting exposed as just the babe of the week. I really like how she's building her career, and think we'll be seeing those dividends pay off for her soon.

High points: ALL THE BOYS LOVE MANDY LANE, PINEAPPLE EXPRESS
Low points: THE STEPFATHER

OVERALL (9/10):

I think there's a strong case to be made for Amber Heard being the most underrated hottie currently working. She's a dish and for whatever reason hasn't gotten a ton of love from the mainstream yet. But her mixture of looks and talent isn't something that can stay hidden forever. Expect her to explode soon.

PERFECT TEN FOR ME

I'm a gay male but i've been head over heels in love with Amber Heard since i was 15 (I am now 20). She is probably the only woman i give a perfect ten too for looks and personality and she is VERY talented.

I cannot wait to see more of her in the future.

For the record, surprised nobody mentioned her small role in Zombieland. Great fuckin' scene.

Amber Heard = Very Hot

Turns out this discussion led somewhere else, which is weird because, it is after... AMBER HEARD!

What needs to be said has already been said by Bad_Ashe. There's a reason his comment has a +10. Tread lightly next time, Mr. Pink.

Very hot indeed. Glad she's upping the ante in terms of her career. The Rum Diary may be fantastic.

And the religious-athiest comment was moronic. Too many crass generalizations on what people of faith are painted to be. I don't want to delve into it any further since Bad_Ashe spelled out what was wrong with the comment.

Love Amber Heard

Shes got the look and appeal of most of the Maxim hottie types as well as some potential talent that many of them are missing.

Also, religion sucks in all ways possible, most of all as a TOPIC OF DISCUSSION, so please stop talking about it. Its always just a mix of hyperbolic statements, overly sensitive comebacks, and eventually plain denial on both parts since a petty internet convo is the last thing to convert anyone.

Actually, this decidedly not overly sensitive nor hyperbolic discussion was on theism and atheism, not necessarily religion...an important distinction as many theists are not particularly religious. As for religion sucking in all ways possible, I think that religion is a GREAT topic of conversation, actually...just not in this forum, nor ostensibly in the articles posted to this site, which is what started this mini-discourse in the first place. That being said, I'm sure we are all ready to

That being said, I'm sure we are all ready to move on and talk about a completely different kind of celestial body (like say Amber's, or Zoe Saldana's) assuming newcomers to this thread would move on as well.

She's alright.

Oh, and Cherry, your views on religion are very uneducated, shallow, and one dimensional, so you're doing more harm to your cause than good.

I'm not saying there aren't good reasons to be against religion, because there are, but the portrait you painted of it is a stereotype and a crass generalization.

But, hey, Bad_Ashe already ripped your stereotype to shreds quite nicely.

We shouldn't even be talking about this on a site like this, but Mr. Pink made the foolish

Agreed on all counts! The door was open and others walked through it, so I followed suit...but for my money, I'd much rather be discussing movies or hotties, or movies AND hotties...in no particular order.

LOL, not pissed off, just willing to stump for the other side and try to share some perspective and clarity...although I'm sure Amber naked could provide any red-blooded male with plenty of both.

Love the discussion

Glad we're all so highbrow, but my only real point was that for a chick who hasn't given us too much personality to judge, I can make a reasonable leap that she's likely a smart chick since she's an atheist, and I like smart.

But don't let that stop a Holy War from brewing here :-)

LOL. I too like smart chicks, I'm married to a pretty damn hot Ph.D, but I see where aph89 could perceive that you were saying smart = atheist, which is untrue. My comment was more directed at the follow up and one of the other posters. IMHO, hot is hot, which is why we are all here, and Amber Heard is pretty hot, so no holy war necessary!

The pics you posted for her boobies and her face make her look terrible!

I still think she looks good because when she isn't on a red carpet and wears minimal make-up (like the still from Pineapple Express), she looks much better.

Not to open a can of worms here, but this is one of those atheist canards that bugs the crap out of me. Yes, "self-identified atheists" (those who claim secularity and lack of belief as a worldview, not those with "no religion") are on average smarter than believers, however this is a skewed sample. Since (depending on the poll or census) roughly 92-98% of the world's population believes in god or some kind of higher power, the exponentially larger percentage of believers is guaranteed to

Since (depending on the poll or census) roughly 92-98% of the world's population believes in god or some kind of higher power, the exponentially larger percentage of believers is guaranteed to include those of lower intelligence. However, based in sheer numbers, there are more intelligent believers out there than there are atheists.

What make me laugh is when militant atheists like to add those identifying as "no religion" into their numbers when talking about the growing ranks of their worldview, but reject those same individuals (such as prison population, etc) when it comes to assessing intelligence averages.

Amber Heard is pretty hot (although not particularly memorable), but speculating her intelligence based on her atheism is kind of silly. However, since we are all here to gawk at hot chicks, does it really matter if she's an atheist or not? I'd still do her.

It's not that us atheists are "smarter" than those who attend religious institutions with devotion. But common sense and education (as even Kirk Cameron said in his video, most COLLEGE students & professors are atheists) is something that we excel at. Because faith or no faith, the person who realizes that staying home on a Sunday in your sweats is better than dressing up and going to sing hymns with the brain dead masses. Oh... and then there's the no guilt over sex thing. Yeah... that

Actually, that seems to be another strongly held misconception, even by the faithful (I wouldn't take Kirk Cameron's word on much of anything -- even a Growing Pains reunion.) Recent studies by Rice University and University of Chicago showed that among faculty members across elite research universities (in the science and social science fields no less) between 60-70 % across all fields believe in god or a higher power. In those studies it was also discovered that about 76% of doctors believe

As far as college students are concerned, well most people become more secularized while at university and come back to some form or faith after the fact. Tale as old as time, that is. Also, "brain dead masses"...really? No need to insult the faithful among us.

Very, very hot. I can't argue with these ratings, although career score seems a bit high at 7.

"She's also an atheist, and in my experience atheist's tend to be smarter than your average folk."

It doesn't bother me that she's an athies but I don't appreciate that remark. Just because someone believes in God doesn't mean they're stupid or that they're less smart than atheist are. That may not be what you were trying to say but that it sounds like. When talking about religion you should choose your words more wisely.

Sorry this comment was posted twice. I didn't mean to do that and I know there is a typo in it but the site won't let me edit it for some reason. In the sentence "That may not be what you were trying to say but that it soulds like," I should have typed "that's what it sounds like." But like I said it wouldn't let me edit it. Does anyone else ever have that problem?

People of faith cover the whole spectrum of smart to dumb. Faith is not an attribute that requires intelligence. Atheism on the other hand is almost always arrived at after a conscious study and consideration of religion, faith, the evidence for and against, and an eventual determination that intellectually the person cannot believe in an entity that is, by any objective scientific measure, unprovable. So yes, the intelligence of the average atheist is higher than the intelligence of the

So yes, the intelligence of the average atheist is higher than the intelligence of the average person of faith. This is simply a result of the fact that it's hard for a dumb person to be an atheist. Doesn't in any way mean it's difficult for smart people to have faith. Although I definitely feel that the smarter you are, the more challenges the concept of faith presents to you.

A top hottie. Strange to see such a gorgeous girl (let alone one that doesn't mind popping her shirt off) struggling to become a household name. But maybe Rum Diary will change that.
