Congrats to the Dallas Mavericks taking down the NBA Championship in Game 6 last night. In respect to their accomplishment this week I'll focus on a Texas girl that is threatening to blow up big with a young superstar romance and an apparent move to transition her career from strictly family friendly to somewhat more mature fare. That's right, it's time to gawk at: SELENA GOMEZ!

Well that damn Bieber kid showed off just how grabable this young lady's hind parts on on their recent Hawaii trip. Unfortunate rumors about an eating disorder threaten the future of this fine heinie, but hopefully the young miss will learn to love her natural curves and protect them like the precious resource that they are.

Gomez has a super cute face. I mean like MY LITTLE PONY-type cute. She also has a pretty unique look, which is a fun mixture. Of course the pure girlishness of her look does make folks feel a bit pervy for digging her curves, but she doesn't seem to be going anywhere anytime soon, so better get used to it. Especially since she will no doubt go through the "proving she's grown up" phase soon.
PERSONALITY
(6/10): Selena still comes across like a kid. A nice kid, but a kid nonetheless. From the purity ring she wears, to the aw shucks attitude she evidences while unironically claiming Eminem, Katy Perry and Niki Minaj as idols, her whole vibe seems pretty immature. The next few years are probably going to be difficult, as she tries to balance a more sensible world view with the fluffier outlook of childhood. All this of course will play out in the public eye. I don't envy her the challenges ahead, but they will certainly make her a more interesting person. CAREER
(5/10): At first blush it looks like Ms. Gomez hasn't done anything of consequence yet, but her success with Disney has been huge. Now she's slowly trying to expand that into a movie career, and her first toe in the water went pretty damn well. The upcoming MONTE CARLO pairs her with Leighton Meester and Katie Cassidy, so we'll see how the influence of a couple of "bad girls" effects her fans and her future. High points: RAMONA AND BEEZUS OVERALL
(8/10): Selena Gomez is a pretty hot little mama. I know some of you are still uncomfortable with how young she looks, and I get that. But her star is on a trajectory that is going to require you to get comfortable with seeing her in a more adult manner. Might as well get used to it now.
