Last week it wasn't a huge surprise that you voted Kate Beckinsale's Selene your favorite vampire babe. At this point in the game, it's near impossible for anyone to beat Becks, even with the stiffy-inducing competition such as Bellucci and Liu. This week, I wanted to semi-touch all the Gotham show casting talk that's been going down, even if it's revolved around the dudes so far. The Marvel universe has had its luck in the entertainment game while the DC power is relegated to a little brother status at times. So, instead of talking about Batman's Catwoman, I thought we could look at the various interpretations of Superman's Lois Lane, from the movie to the TV to the voice over babe options.
For MAN OF STEEL, it wasn't a huge leap to see Amy Adams as the beloved reporter who was tracking down the dude with the phenomenal powers, but I guess it's also hard to imagine that Adams would potentially suck in any role that she's cast in. If we were to color box office gold, it would be with the brush stroke dipped in the red hue of her hair. With the upcoming sequel in the works, the DC universe will benefit greatly from an Lois Adams reprisal.
By the time that Erica Durance had strolled onto the set of "Smallville" as Lois Lane, the other hot Lane in the family of hot Lanes on the CW show, I'd mostly tuned out. What I haven't fully been able to understand is whether she was passed over for playing the sexy Wonder Woman (come on, let's be honest - Durance is a far superior choice to the stick figure that is Gal Gadot, in terms of the WW role) because audiences loved her so much as Lois or because she supposedly wasn't a big enough name outside of television.
There have been many who have lent their voices to the Lois Lane role in all of the animated Superman movies which have glutted the market, most notably in the form of cougar goddess Dana Delaney, but if we're going with an actress who has the sexy prowl of Lois in person doing the role vocal justice, it would be Stana Katic in SUPERMAN: UNBOUND. In vocal roles, you can never be eliminated for any other distracting characteristics (including being too sexy for a female reporter, eh Stana?).
Which Lois Lane fills your fine print the best: Amy, Erica or Stana? -span>
