The latest trend in the gossip rags that your moms like to buy off the newsstands or read at the hair salon because they haven't yet learned how to navigate the online sites has been to talk about Kate Upton and whether or not her Sports Illustrated bikini issue front cover body is "fat" or not. They not-so-cleverly try to disguise this non-debate by referring to Upton as being "curvy." This is what the mean girls who are behind these publications say when their intention is to imply that the woman is fat.
Here's my take on Upton. She's not a rail. She's got tits and hips. She's still so young that the lingering "baby fat" of that age is showing in her face. (Plus she's so early into her drinking years that you know she's bloating up from the indulging that she does at the parties that she never thought she'd get invited to when she was a little girl with dreams.) But take a look at these pictures. Look at how thin her arms are, especially down to the forearms. Look at the narrow nature of her legs. These aren't touched up pics. They're taken by a nosy pap most likely determined to see if he could get the worst possible angles. And these were the worst that he could come up with.
So let's not forget the old saying: "A woman without curves is like a pair of jeans without pockets. Where do you put your hands?"
