As a native English speaker, looking at Italian-American Carla Gugino in the January Mexico edition of 'Esquire' magazine makes me yearn to voice my pleasure in Spanish. While I can speak some of the basics in Spanish (required for ordering at taco trucks, haggling at flea markets, or cursing out fellow motorists), stringing together a sentence comes out as bad as a valley girl ordering off the Taco Bell menu ("Can I have a Chimmy-Chan-Ga with gwak-a-mol-e and extra mild sauce?). Carla is one of those women who just seem to get better and better as time goes along. My heart and loins nearly exploded when she stripped down to nothing in SIN CITY, and her presence alone in films bumps up the sexuality to 11. I'm hoping her role on 'Californication' as Hank Moody's attorney provides her with a decent role, and also gives her a chance to roll around naked in the hay. Which going off the track record of 'Calfornication' towards it's female cast...is just about guaranteed!
