It's hard to believe that only 12 years ago, Dakota Fanning kicked off her wildly successful career as a child actress with her appearance as Sean Penn's daughter in the 2001 movie, I AM SAM. After that flick, Dakota was pretty much the go-to girl when it came to casting a precocious little girl in movies, raking in big bucks as she starred in everything from THE CAT IN THE HAT to HOUNDDOG, the controversial movie about child sexual abuse.
Now that the blonde beauty is 19-years old and having had a relatively normal teenage life (she famously dropped out of Hollywood for a few years to be a cheerleader at her high school and was nominated to a homecoming court), it's back to the grind, with movies coming out in as steady of a stream as they did during the early 2000's.
Out of everything set to debut, I'm looking forward to the biopic about Errol Flynn, THE LAST OF ROBIN HOOD, co-starring the awesome Kevin Kline and Susan Sarandon. Probably even more interesting in the casting of that flick? Former "Doogie Howser M.D." sidekick Max "Vinnie" Casella will be playing a young Stanley Kubrick.
