Deborah Ann is one of my favorite parts of the HBO vampire drama True Blood, mostly because she's one of the few elements of the show that seems directly aimed at pleasing the no doubt dwindling heterosexual male viewership. The show has definitely switched its focus to the female audience in this last season, what with the various emphases on hunky vampires and wolfmen. It's basically become a TWILIGHT for people who aren't batshiat crazy.
I guess I can understand their switch in demographics. Vampires and wolfpeople have, across the board, been transferred from their horror roots into the realm of twisted romance icons. Being a fan of those genres of fantasy as well as earlier seasons of True Blood, this kind of co-option might upset me. However Deborah Ann's gorgeous auburn locks and sparkling blue eyes always seem to quell any dissent and lull me into a state of reverential adoration.
I wont mention what happens when her character's fangs pop out.
