Like pretty much every other female celebrity on Earth today, freaky sex pin-up queen Dita Von Teese has started her own clothing line, which she models in February's Flaunt magazine. And just like Dita, all her stuff is a throwback to the risque look of the 40s and 50s. I'm kind of a historian at heart - I love stuff that hearkens back to an earlier time. Which is probably why my TV tends to be on the History Channel most of the time - or rather it was before they started substituting interesting historical stuff with "reality" show bullshit about pawn shops and restorations. Anyway, my fascination with the past is a big reason why Dita interests me. I like how she always looks like she just stepped off the cover of some pulp novel from the 50s. Hers is a retro style so much more interesting than what passes for retro in these sad, hipster times we live in. There's also an impressively hot body under those stockings and lace, which also has a lot to do with my liking for Dita.

Droz, do you like the style men wore in the 40s and 50s? Every time I see a movie in that time period I can't help to think how good all those hats look.

Damn!
