
Fox did the same thing with the fan-favorite show "Firefly," which went on to be *somewhat* completed/resolved/whatever with the movie SERENITY. People behind the scenes blame the last minute rewrites that Whedon was forced to do when the cable station was unhappy with the direction he was taking, causing reshoots and delays galore. While previously touted as going to have the coveted spot of following the illustrious "24," it now looks like the show will have to stand on the power of geek interest alone.
Whether or not they figure in TiVo stats, I'm not sure, but I'm fairly certain that if people aren't watching when the show airs, it has less of a chance of survival. But... here's a hot picture of Dushku for your TGIF enjoyment.
