I wonder what was making these old guys so happy in this BBC Arts photoshoot Gemma Arterton was doing the other day. Are revivals of obscure 17th century plays starring Gemma that pleasing? Somehow I think not. There's got to be some thing more to it.
Maybe it's all the extra funding BBC arts programs are getting this year? I hear they're making a substantial effort to cut the garbage from their airwaves and focus on more intelligent stuff. I don't think that's it though.
Perhaps they had just come from a nice lunch where everyone had regaled each other with intellectually stimulating anecdotes about life in the theater. Ehhh, maybe.
I suppose the photographer could have been an especially charming and witty guy, adept at making sure all his subject sported big smiles with any number of funny quips and jokes. Damn, this is perplexing.
Circus clowns? No. Never funny.
I've got it! They're all PRINCE OF PERSIA fans! Of course, why didn't I think of that before?!
