, an Oscar-winning actress who was born in Jerusalem, Israel and raised on the East coast of the U.S. (from Washington D.C. to New York state), was in Nevada over the weekend for the Obama for America Nevada Women Vote Summit (held in Las Vegas, specifically), and talked to an audience of over 400 women (all of whom I'm guessing are rich enough to afford to be able to attend the event) and spoke for over 10 minutes about the positive work that she's seen President Obama do for the nation and women/women's rights in particular. This is nice and all, and quite frankly, after being raised by a couple of hippie liberals, I suppose I should be rendering Portman a valiant voice in the society of politics. But I'm not. Listening to a famous person, graduate of Harvard or not, shouldn't be a deciding factor in what your political stances are. It's great to see Nat dressed up and looking wonderful as always, but I ask... what impact does this have, if any, on how you feel about the upcoming elections?
