Stop the presses everyone! The "Hollywood Foreign Press" has officially announced the nominees for the 65th annual "Golden Globe" awards which will be debuting on January 13, 2008. It's an absolutely fantastic list of nominees as there have been so many terrific performances this year in both drama and comedy/musical genres. We're delighted however that the following gorgeous ladies have been nominated for their roles and they are:
Best Performance By An Actress In A Motion Picture - Drama
Cate Blanchett - "Elizabeth: The Golden Age"
Julie Christie- "Away from Her"
Jodie Foster - "The Brave One"
Angelina Jolie - "A Mighty Heart"
Keira Knightley - "Atonement"
Best Performance By An Actress In A Motion Picture - Comedy/Musical
Amy Adams - "Enchanted"
Nikki Blonsky - "Hairspray"
Helena-Bonham Carter - "Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street"
Marion Cotillard - "La Vie en Rose"
Ellen Page - "Juno"
Best Performance By An Actress In A Supporting Role In A Motion Picture
Amy Adams - "Charlie Wilson’s War"
Cate Blanchett - "I’m Not There"
Amy Ryan - "Gone Baby Gone"
First off, I'm very happy that Cate Blanchett has received two nominations this year and I think she could be a strong contendor for her supporting role in "I'm Not There". I also feel that Angelina Jolie will easily take the Golden Globe for her role in "A Mighty Heart" as her performance was absolutely fantastic. Finally, I'm almost 100% certain that Ellen Page (my future bride) is going to take home the award for her role in "Juno" or she might not win and instead take home an Academy Award. Overall, fantastic nominees and I'm very excited to see it.

I just noticed that Amy Adams also got two nominations for Enchanted and Charlie Wilson's War..w00t!
