I haven't listened to the recent new release from No Doubt, where they are trying to resurrect some of the old school magic, but it seems that they're already having to apologize for it. OK, so they're mainly apologizing for the video they made for the cut, "Looking Hot," where Gwen Stefani
and bassist Tony Kanal dress up like Indians and get picked up by cowboys who tie up Gwen (No Doubt? No Brainer!) and toss Kanal in jail, taunting them all the way. The Native American community came out in droves to complain to the extent that the band pulled the video from YouTube and apologized for its content. I have to say, I'm 1/8th Chumash Indian myself (yeah, Indians like being called Indians, not Native Americans... well, except for the attention hungry ones that would complain about this) and I didn't think the video was all that bad. I just think that the magic in the music ain't there anymore. Hell, if I wanted to listen to more songs that sound like Gwen doing solo work, I'd have just scalped myself and called it a night.
