Elizabeth Olsen triumphed not only as Scarlet Witch in AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON (come on, she was pretty badass), she also won over your hearts in last week's Hot or Not. What to do in a post-Avengers release world? Other than ignore HOT PURSUIT and its inevitable elderly demographic that will fund its first week release, how about pause to consider grown-up Sunshine as a zombie instead?
I really didn't like LITTLE MISS SUNSHINE. It has quirky moments but it was released at a time when every movie was trying to be a quirky black comedy and I was saturated in the genre and pretty over it. So I wasn't impressed with Abigail Breslin's shrieking little girl routine. (And frankly, Alan Arkin did the crusty grandpa thing better in SUNSHINE CLEANERS.) So her auspicious beginnings don't hold a thimbleful of water for me.
Hitting puberty and growing into a voluptuous body has so far garnered a lot of uncomfortable moments with us here at Hotties & Miss Breslin. She looked of age long before she actually was, a problem with any teen girl but an especially big one for a well-recognized actress. Now that she's 19-years old, it's easy to argue that she's still too young to have developed a full hottie assessment.
Breslin is a pretty girl, but from what I've seen of her legal adult fixings in the past couple of years, she needs a lot of help to look that way. There's too much hair and makeup going on, which leaves it hard for me to really deem her hot because there's little reality factoring in. She has a fantastic diva body but the studios are going to continue to cover that fact up to squeeze all of the legitimate acting prowess out of her appearances instead. I can't call her hot but given another ten years, she might do a Christina Ricci and morph into a total babe - I only hope she'll eschew Ricci's path and ditch the anorexic bobblehead tactic and just embrace her natural curviness.
