Hot or Not: Alexis Bledel

It was decided by the chorus of voices who put me in my place about Jenna Ficsher and her hotness that I should continue seeing if I needed to be spanked on my views. Now, while the title of the feature seems black or white, I'd like to keep it open enough to encourage discussion about my chosen subjects. Is the following movie actress, in your opinion, cute, pretty, or hot? Is she all of or none of the above? Let's hear it, because I love getting spanked.

ALEXIS BLEDEL

I watched a couple of episodes of "Gilmore Girls" when it first debuted on television and to say that I was far from impressed is putting it lightly. Teenage motherhood was never put so lightly or treated so unrealistically that I couldn't bear to watch it even if Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel were adorable as mother and daughter. When the show first started filming, even though she looked 12, Bledel was actually 19 and coming off a 5 year stint as a teen model.

Bledel's birthday is September 16th, making her a Virgo and quite possibly explaining why I don't think I've ever seen this girl smile openly on the red carpet. Virgos being notoriously attention-shy, I'm surprised that she shows up for as many benefits and premieres as she does. Makes her replacement's (Bledel dated co-star Milo Ventimiglia from 2002-2006 - he's now dating co-star Hayden Panettiere) claims of hating the paparazzi's personal intrusion as pale in comparison as Bledel's fair skin.

She's got a model's delicate frame, facial features that don't appear to be aging as the years creep on by, and a set of blazing blue eyes that I can't ignore the charm of. So why is it that Bledel, soon to be seen in SISTERHOOD OF THE TRAVELING PANTS 2, hits a mark in me that chimes off-key? Sure, she's pretty... but is she HOT?

I don't know about mega hot. She's definitely a very beautiful lady, with a sweet innocence that would make many a man turn all protective over her. I don't think she'll ever reach the realm of hotness as, say, Jessica Alba or Salma Hayek, but there is still something there.

I'm gonna have to say she's pretty. And just that,....Pretty. Not Hot. She's never been in anything (Sin City was awesome, but she could have been replaced by any random hottie and the part would have been the same) that interested me either so that hurts her too. Overall I just gotta say, not hot....yet. She's certainly got potential.
