Not as many people replied to whether or not Dora Madison Burge was or wasn't a hottie for last week's column, which leads me to wonder if you all really do want the unknown or questionable hotties that you beg for when the complaint is that someone obvious is being featured. I'm going to try this again, with a newer face.
26-year old Swedish born Alicia Vikander is one of the actresses featured in this week's release THE SEVENTH SON, perhaps making her a bit older than the demographic they're trying to sell this movie to. She does seem to be pretty popular lately, with 5 upcoming projects in the works, including Guy Ritchie's version of THE MAN FROM U.N.C.L.E., which will get a release in August of this year, that time when production companies are hope to squeak in a few summer sleepers.
After having a mild career in Sweden, Vikander began breaking out in 2012, with a lead role in A ROYAL AFFAIR and later with roles in THE FIFTH ESTATE. Being put anywhere near a Benedict Cumberbatch project seems to really help the ladies' career these days. I can't base my thoughts on Alicia from her films, though, as it appears I haven't watched any of them.
I think Alicia Vikander is cute, if not immediately memorable. It's been a long time since we've had a European woman of a slight build break out to the degree of say, Keira Knightley, and I don't know just how likely it is for that to happen again. I won't count her out, however. We're still early in her game.
What do you think of Alicia Vikander?
