Merida isn't the only animated chick out at the box office this week. TO ROME WITH LOVE features an actress whom I love to see lighting up the screen, usually at midnight showings of that one movie where she had the red hair and they left out the part about her hooking up with Knives. If you don't know what I mean, you're not cool enough for this article. As if you read the words in the first place.
Alison Pill
OK, so it's probably just me but I am seeing a little bit of Kristen Bell in this picture of Alison Pill. Unfortunately, I think that's the work of a great photographer and other talented lighting and editing people. I can look up and find hot pictures of most anyone because that's what this business is about: selling a pleasing look. Take Alison's name and plunk it into an image search and you might find that this is the only flattering staged shot of her. Then again, my tastes vary wildly from many of yours.
SCOTT PILGRIM VS THE WORLD. Kim. Canadian. Learned how to play drums. Music, movies, television, nominated for a Tony for her stage performance in "The Lieutenant of Inishmore" back in '06. Engaged to fellow fantastic Canuck, Jay Baruchel. Has the resume that can support mainstream or indie work. Never ceases to amaze, surprise or entertain. Is the second reason why I can't wait for the 2013 release of SNOWPIERCER (the first being its director, Joon-Ho Bong, mastermind behind THE HOST).
I think Alison Pill is super cute. I can talk around and around it in circles, but even factoring in her greatness as an actress (and that greatness appears to have vast, unlimited potential) and for this NSFW moment from the movie DEAR WENDY, I still think the price of admission to the Hot choo-choo train is a bit steep. Never said you needed to be hot for me to love ya, though. Most former lovers of mine have definitely taken that one to the bank.
