Last week, it felt like a mixed bag when it came to everyone's opinion on America Ferrera. This week, I hope to stretch some more thought out of you concerning the popularity (and ultimately, the necessity) of yet another Hollywood blonde. I hope you choose to play along for yet another week.

Cameron Diaz

Because I don't want to bias people with any candid shots of Cameron, I thought I'd start with what she looked like in the first movie we were introduced to her in, THE MASK. Sure, everyone can recall the short, cute little haircut from THERE'S SOMETHING ABOUT MARY, or the dancing bootie in the Underoos in CHARLIE'S ANGELS, but think back to when Cam was still a smoldering model who no executive would have banked on for ending up with the career that she has now.

Without repeating myself, we all know what were some of Cam's highlights in her career. Not many people remember SHE'S THE ONE, FEELING MINNESOTA or A LIFE LESS ORDINARY. Until she'd gotten a breakout chance (and what a chance it was) in MY BEST FRIEND'S WEDDING, I would venture to say that most people had written Cam off. Then, of course, the strange explosion in her career, the multiple 3 year long relationships (the last of which with Justin Timberlake, in which she placated her broken heart with a joint on the beach with Drew and dying her hair dark) and now the highest income for a woman in Hollywood last year.

Still, there's something amiss about the Cam who walks the streets and surfs the seas these days. Something just... well, kinda off about her. I don't want to pin it on age, as there are many actresses who have proven to have the longevity to defy the industry's odds. I don't want to blame it on her personal life or purported personality, as I've never had a run-in with her. But I can't bring myself to call her hot if you were to pose that question to me today. Back in 1999, I wouldn't have faltered for a second with a positive response. But that was then.

If she was such an idiot, how the hell did she become one of the top actresses in Hollywood?

I don't think she's aged well, she's too skinny and the broken nose doesn't help, but she's done some worthy work (Being John Malkovich). Not my type, but I'll give her a Hot.

I'm not a big fan of her, she has attractive parts and has looked good in some movies (the Mask obviously) but she is not hot in my opinion.

You just cant fairly judge the Then vs. the Now. If anyone tried to argue that she wasnt hot back in the days of The Mask and There's Something About Mary they would have surely been thrown in the looney bin. I see she's lost a LOT of her appeal over the years and she also seems, like Alfamale said, vacuous. Plus, she's done a rom-com with Ashton Kutcher. IMHO: Unforgivable.

But I refuse to say she doesnt have the potential to return to the glory days. And that blind faith is enough

She's incredible hot.
Not in the mask, but in almost every other movie she's been it.
Those photos above don't look at all though.

Hot...

Agree, she's hot. No doubt. However, I think that her looks are slowly going due to age and a decrease in flat out Hollywood glamor style. She needs to get a good makeup artist and head her back towards the early days of the Mask.

Speaking of which, after I have seen her pic above and remember that hot red dress she wore at the beginning of the movie (burnt into the recesses of my mind), I suddenly have the urge to see my wife.
