Hot or Not: Ellen Page

With WHIP IT! coming up and Mr. Pink having stolen my original choice for Hot or Nottie this week (ahem, Drew is MY bitch, you bitch!), I figured I would fall back on the other chick of contention in the flick, that little pixie who has some people happy and others not so much. Let's settle this debate for once and all.

Ellen Page

I've taken the time to watch Page in more than just her breakout role in JUNO, where not only the Oscars noticed her but so did most of the trendy high school population. Yay! Because all teenage chicks who get pregnant are that intelligent or that self-aware! In any case, I'm basing my opinion of her on more than just her appearance in that flick.

Of course, I'm a big fan of her performance in the insanely compelling HARD CANDY, but being that she was pretending to be barely pubescent in the movie (aside from being 19 when it was filmed), I can't determine hotness from that role. Or really, many of the other roles she's had in movies she made in her Canadian hometown, including a good turn in WILBY WONDERFUL and a chaotic mess of a movie THE TRACEY FRAGMENTS. (That movie nauseated more than shaking-cam flicks.)

So what else can we determine her hotness on? In all fairness, there hasn't been a film she's been in where she's played a character who was of legal consenting age. We all know that she's older than she plays and overlook the fact that those big eyes, baby fat scrunched cheeks and child-like innocent smile are old enough to bang, but I don't know... I'm conflicted. Is Page a good actress? I believe that is true wholeheartedly. But is she HOT?

Well, I'll leave that part up to you.

Those are some fantastic pictures. I don't think of Ellen Page in the same league as say...Kate Beckinsale, who's smoking hot. But Ellen Page is INCREDIBLY cute. And great actress to boot. I loved her in Hard Candy, loved her in Juno (despite some of the dialogue) and I can't wait to see Whip It.

She's actually my #1 hottest. I love this girl. She's a phenomenal actress, gorgeous, and has a great personality.

Hard Candy is one of my top 5 favorite movies of all time. I would also rank Juno, Smart People, and Whip It (saw a sneak preview over the weekend and it was fucking awesome) towards the very top of my list of favorite movies too.

Good to see I'm not the only guy whose taste tend to go for the less standard hotties. Page is definitely cute, which I prefer over the so called "smoking hotties" that Hollywood enjoys shoving at us.
