What kinds of deals did all of you lovely folks pull in over the Black Friday & Cyber Monday deals that were going on around the crazy ol' U.S. of A? I know that I picked up the first seasons of "Camelot" and "Once Upon a Time," for pennies on the dollar of what they were previously selling for. People go a little nuts during the holidays trying to get the best deal on gifts. I just try to get deals on shit that I really want. Now, I might not have gotten started with the Eva Green show yet but as for the fairy tale turned modern life dramedy (that seems about right, don'tcha think?), I've been pulled in. Partly because of the awesomeness of Robert Carlyle as Mr Gold and the other part because of this week's Hot or Not.
Lana Parrilla

Besides getting turned onto this series, I also went out and watched SILVER LININGS PLAYBOOK, so you can't tell me that I'm not a Philly girl at heart. Why? Not only is the movie centered in the city of brotherly love (damn, I really missed being in PA when I was watching that flick) but Lana Parrilla also happens to be the daughter of Sam Parrilla, a professional baseball player whose only time in the major leagues was during his 1970 stint with the Philadelphia Phillies. How's that for some weird connections? Some people look for silver linings, I look for the bizarre strings that attach different moments in my life. This is one of them. Mock me if you must but I found myself absolutely drawn to both that movie's message (JLaw is awesome, as is John Ortiz as Ronnie & while Bradley Cooper is very good, it's blatantly obvious that he worked with a coach to tell him how to flip out like a sufferer of bipolar disorder and that his personal experience with mental illness is nil) and entirely smitten with Parrilla as Regina Mills/The Evil Queen.

I do not remember her from "Spin City." I vaguely even recall there being a show named "Boomtown," (and later... "Swingtown") and have never watched a single episode of "24." Can't say that I've gone out of my way to track down the low-budget horror flick SPIDERS. All I know is that Parrilla has a tight body, a wicked smile and these dark, wide eyes that pull you in quicker than Turkish Delight. Well, if you were that kid from Narnia. You get my point. Lana ooooooooooozes sex appeal and bitchiness at the same time and it's all very, very sexy in my book.

36-years old and hardly a household name, it's great to see that this show is getting good ratings, ranking high when it returned to the air this past Sunday for its second season. As beautiful as they might be claiming Ginnifer Goodwin to be as the modern and fairy tale Snow White, give me the evil queen any day of the week and twice on Sunday. Not just the character, not just the actress, the whole package. I'm honestly shocked and appalled that Parrilla hasn't been more noticed prior to this. Raise your hand (I said your hand) if you agree with me.
What do you think of Lana Parrilla?

Lana Parrilla is the most beautiful woman in the world.
