As everyone let out a collective gasp (or shrug of the shoulders) over the ending to season two of "The Walking Dead," last night, I started making observations about how Lori is one of the most hated characters in the series and I did a Hot or Not feature on Sarah Wayne Callies when the season began. Now that it's over, how about we look at the other Laurie, who's really Andrea. Who's really... well, you fill in your own blanks there.
Holden has been kicking around Hollywood for longer than I thought. The 42-year old actress has been appearing in small roles as early as age 10, never latching onto anything too big until she was cast as a series regular, Marita Covarrubias, on "The X-Files," in 1996. More of you might remember her as Jim Carey's leading lady in THE MAJESTIC. Then again, maybe not.
I couldn't have placed Holden from anything when I watched season one of the popular zombie apocalypse show, and found her to be at best an off-putting minor annoyance during those brief 6 episodes. But season two gave the character of Andrea a lot more to get people complaining about, including her potential arc of sensuality, seeing as how she sexed up another character from the show in one of the cars that seemed endlessly littered around that barn.
I don't think that you can properly gauge Laurie's level of hotness based on "TWD" alone, since the whole aspect of that show is that everyone is in various states of self-preservation, including carefully applied stage makeup to achieve different stages of congealed sweat, blood and gore. Looking over her pictures when she poses for a photoshoot or appears at a red carpet give a better impression of her. This is a good looking lady. Is she memorable? I don't think I'd go that far. Is she hot? Sure, why not.
What do you think of Laurie Holden?
