Y'all are pretty crazy about Bryce Dallas Howard, from the responses I got from last week's Hot or Not. I honestly didn't think that she was pegged at such a high hottie rating, to be honest. I think she's a babe but often what I think doesn't match up to the general consensus. The same goes for this week's selected lady, who is showing up in voice form with this week's new release, INSIDE OUT.
I gotta say, there's something about those American Express ads with Mindy that makes me tear up. Being told that no one would be interested in seeing her on television seems rough, especially when you consider that the majority of the world is not just tall, thin blonde women. I get that entertainment isn't necessarily required to be entirely realistic, which is why we have movie and television stars who are leaps and bounds more attractive than the standard average humans out there, but does that mean that everyone who doesn't look like that is somehow inferior?
Not exactly your text book hottie, Mindy has been fighting to rewrite the books that exist by being charming, funny and all ways of hard to ignore. She is a champion for women who have grown up thinking that there must be something wrong with them because they're not tall enough or buxom enough or their skin isn't the right shade. And I salute that about Kaling. Someone's got to muscle open the door to allow everyone access to the good stuffs.
That said, I don't necessarily find Mindy Kaling hot. I admire the shit out of her, I think she's beautiful and vivacious but it's also fair to be frank and say that even with all of her positive qualities, I'm just not turned on by her. It's unpopular to marginalize women to their f*ckability percentage, but just because I don't want to do her doesn't mean I don't want to see her in movies or on TV. I love Mindy, I just don't find her hot.
What do you think of Mindy Kaling?
