February is almost as slow of a movie month as January is, if you overlook all of the awards shows celebrating movies from last year and the horror movies that make up the dumping ground for the PG-13 fare that the distributors knew wouldn't do very well in the fall alongside the more hardcore stuff. THE ROOMMATE is a perfect example. Although the movie is filled with eye candy, it's most likely a complete waste of time and energy, much like me asking the Hot or Not question of this week's babe.
I think at some point I established that I've never watched Kelly on the series that made her popular, "Friday Night Lights." Yeah, I get it. It's a great drama and not just some show about football but there's only so much drama built around the sport of football that I can stand. Much like as much as a pretty girl in a cheerleading uniform is eye pleasing and all, she's got to have something else to draw me in otherwise I'm going to get all ADD and quick.
That's the thing about Minka. While I think she's got an insane body and a lovely face, I can't really say that there's very much to her which screams at me that I need to go out of my way to make her a viewing priority. I don't even get excited tingles to see information about her in the gossip rags, whether she's dating or engaged or - pause while I yawn - to some athlete, she just seems so damn boring.
I will hand over the prize of best casual beauty to this chick. She's one of the few that I've seen in the recent crop that has a very natural look to her, even when caught by the paps in the airport or walking her dog. But beauty isn't worth praising in those who don't have to work at it. I can understand people arguing that point for the aging actresses who battle gravity and win. Show me you can do something other than flaunt great genes, Ms Kelly and we might see. So yes, you're beautiful. Strikingly so. But I wants more.
What do you think of Minka Kelly?
