I had to pull this one out since my buddy Seth is such a big fan of hers. I honestly don't like doing Hot or Not profiles on chicks where I haven't had the opportunity to peruse their resumes, but since she's growing a following, I thought I needed to look into the woman who execs thought would be a good replacement for Beckinsale in the UNDERWORLD franchise. So this week, let's talk about....

Rhona Mitra

Oooh! She has a name! And it so totally went there! I'm a West Coast girl who gets up too early to go to a day job where I work with a bunch of heifers, you'd think that I'd spend more time double checking my work rather than concentrating on being on time. So last week, Rachel Bilson, an actress whose work I have seen, got assed out when it came to me remembering to add her name. (Thanks again for the assist, M.)

So... um... yeah. I didn't catch UNDERWORLD: RISE OF THE LYCANS and I didn't partake in DOOMSDAY. Still haven't seen SHOOTER (say hello to your mutha for me) and THE NUMBER 23? Yeah, not made it to the top of my queue list. (Can I help it if I'd rather watch BALLS OUT: GARY THE TENNIS COACH instead?) Nix on the "Nip/Tuck" and "Boston Legal" even though I have a friend who insists that James Spader is still hot enough to schedule it in. (Really?) And I think I may have caught an episode or two of "The Practice," but that was mainly for Sokoloff's cleavage.

So where does that leave me in terms of judging Mitra's hotness? Not very far. There's something about her which has that generic brunette bombshell appeal to it, but while I'm a fan of tattooed chicks, I also can't stand ones who get stupid stuff inked poorly in stupid places (Mitra has ugly little butterflies done directly to the side of her belly button... hope she never has kids), so there's that. And while I can find the appeal in a square-jawed, slightly mannish face, give me Amanda Peet or even Hilary Swank over Mitra's jawline. She photographs well, but I'm feeling that she's much more of a Photoshop Monet than a natural beauty.

I could be wrong. I know I have been in the past. You tell me if Rhona Mitra is hot or not.

Extra Tidbit:	Mitra was born in Paddington, London, England. I didn't think there was actually a city named after the bear. Go figure.

One of my favs

I've watched her for quite some time and have gone back to watch some movies I forgot she was in, her stock has risen over the last couple years and seems to get consistent and versatile characters to play. Did you know she was the female merc in Chronicles of Riddick? Way too much growth for that movie which squared her jawline more than it already was...

Sorry to disappoint Cherry, but I am familiar w/ Lady Mitra's work. (Hollow Man anyone??) She def falls in the hot category. At least for me. Remember her in the David Gale movie w/ Spacey? DAMN!!!

Her face looks quite pretty in these pictures, but from the movies and shows I've seen her in, I just don't think her very average-looking face is up to par with her otherwise great body. I'll easily take Kate Beckinsale over her any day.

I'll go Hot. I havent seen the latest Underworld, but those movies tend to make everyone that wears form fitting leather look hot sauce. And I'm with alfamale, seein her nekkid in Hollow Man was niiice. I dont know, not stunningly hot, but very sexy. I'd like to see more I guess.
