I frequently misuse the word "blond." That's because I'm all Dan Quayle about it and love tacking on that extra e at the end. If I were to get more grammatically correct about the usage of the word, I'd be using "blond" to describe the color of hair that some people have. Or, to specifically describe a man with light colored tresses. That extra e is only supposed to be used when referring to a woman with fair hair, as in this week's Hot or Not is featuring a hot blonde. I'll learn ya something new, I tells ya.
Might as well call Teresa Palmer a bombshell blonde since the the Aussie babe is blowing up in 2011. Discovered in an Adelaide, Australia mall and cast to star in the indie 2:37 in 2006, Palmer had modest exposure after that with a role in THE GRUDGE 2 before signing on to bigger projects like BEDTIME STORIES and THE SORCERER'S APPRENTICE. With TAKE ME HOME TONIGHT opening this weekend and I AM NUMBER FOUR currently still in theaters, it seems impossible to get away from Palmer these days.
On sheer looks alone, Palmer has kind of an odd face to me. She can be a total knockout while in motion and photographs beautifully with the right photographer and Photoshop but doesn't always make for the best natural candids or red carpet shots. At times she looks like Nicole Kidman and Ali Larter had a baby together, which isn't always a bad thing but in the wrong light can make for an interesting view.
But wiping all of the superficial shit aside, Palmer is insanely magnetic. I love to watch this chick in action. The alternately boring and lifeless I AM NUMBER FOUR sparks with energy when Teresa is on-screen. She isn't just hot and isn't just sexy. She's hypnotic. You want to know this chick. You want to be in her orbit. She manages to exude the illusion that that wouldn't entirely be out of the question. It's so much better than hot.
What do you think of Teresa Palmer?
