Y'all are not big fans of La La Anthony, judging by the responses from last week's Hot or Not, although it appears that those opinions didn't deter anyone from going to see THINK LIKE A MAN TOO, which debuted at the top of the box office for the weekend. Not that it's going to matter with the latest Michael Bay movie getting dropped on us this week. Because I can't bear to submit you guys to all-out coverage of everything Bay, I thought we could take a look at one of the stars from the other, smaller release this week, SNOWPIERCER.
Man, if I thought I was going to take shit for posting about La La last week, I'm certain I'm in for it this week. But that's supposed to be the concept behind this column. Sometimes I post the women I think will get the most obvious feedback to see if anyone has a different point of view. As far as Tilda is concerned, there's the whole near alien look that she has in a lot of her personal and red carpet appearances that I'm sure doesn't do much for male genitals hoping for more direct stimulation.
But what a striking figure Swinton cuts, whether on her own or in movies. Especially in movies. For instance, I grew up reading the C.S. Lewis books about Narnia and I have to say, I honestly can't imagine another actress who could have embodied The White Witch quite that well. And while I might be all by my lonesome in saying that I found her sexy in BURN AFTER READING, I'm still saying it.
Here's the thing about Tilda Swinton - whether or not she's legitimately hot is a moot point. If I had a gun to my head I'd say no. But she's so exceptionally captivating whenever she's on screen, it's hard to deny that she's not a magnetic presence. There's a reason why she has such a varied, successful career, even if that has both nothing and everything to do with how she looks.
What do you think of Tilda Swinton?
