If you used to watch "Modern Family" as an excuse to stare at Sofia Vergara, you may want to check back in on the grown up version of Sarah Hyland. They squeeze her into so many random, low-cut costumes on that show, you'd think the writers assumed she was the sex appeal of the show (in fact, it seems to be slowly, but surely becoming that way). Now she can be seen this weekend's release of VAMPIRE ACADEMY: BLOOD SISTERS, which is about vampires, and teens, and stuff. What does it really matter? Everyone who's anyone is just gonna see THE LEGO MOVIE this weekend anyway, right? So let's keep it simple and enjoy some pictures!
I've never been a big fan of 18-to-look-younger types, especially when they pull it off so damn well. Sarah is 23-years-old, but put her in a snow jacket and she looks 18. Some guys might consider that a turn-on, which is in no way totally creepy. Still, Mila Kunis used to be one of these types, and she ultimately developed into one fine looking specimen. Needless to say, I have high hopes for Hyland in the oncoming years.
This is one area on Hyland that's almost completely void of any faults, but still not quite impressive enough for me to stamp an 'A' on it just yet. This may improve with age, but if you ask me, it's just another case of a hottie ignoring one of her best features. Whether in photoshoots or public events, Sarah focuses a little too much on her upper-half, and doesn't work it where it counts nearly enough.
This might seem harsh, but I find Hyland's habit of forcing her own cleavage to be a bit annoying, especially considering the better assets mentioned above. Don't get me wrong, it must've been a living nightmare for a developing young woman to be around the voluptuous Sofia Vergara on a weekly basis. But she should probably take the push-up bra transition more slowly, so it isn't so damned obvious.
Can't complain here, even if Hyland is one of the youngest hotties to receive a report card yet. Sure, she's slightly skinny for my personal taste, but she actually looks like a full-grown woman in a bikini. Check out any of Hyland's beach visits in the last year (this one, for example), and tell me you aren't a wee bit surprised.
This is tough, because even though "Modern Family" is hands-down one of the most successful sitcoms of the 21st century, she's also been in some real stinkers when it comes to film. I don't think I need to see GEEK CHARMING or SCARY MOVIE 5 to realize I don't want to see them, and VAMPIRE ACADEMY is no different. Of course, she still has a while to go before she (hopefully) latches onto a project that doesn't suck like yesterday's vampires.
I have yet come across any interviews with Hyland, because I reluctantly cancelled my subscription to Teen People magazine 6 months ago. I would hope she's nothing like her character on "Modern Family", but then again, I'd be perfectly fine if she wore sexy costumes on a frequent basis in real life. The only other speculation I can make is she doesn't seem all that mature, but that's not a horrible thing for someone in their early-twenties. Plus, who am I to talk about maturity when I write about celebrity T&A all week long?
