I still say Michelle Williams is too pixie to be Marilyn

Nov. 8, 2011by: Droz

Obviously the folks producing the new movie MY WEEK WITH MARYLIN, which chronicles a whirlwind romance Marilyn Monroe had with some English dude, would disagree with my assessment of Michelle Williams in the part of the legendary blond bombshell. I suppose if you cake a woman's face in foundation and take some blown out photos of her in a blond wig, anyone can become Marilyn Monroe. From the looks of the trailer, I'd say her casting has more to do with her acting ability than her looks. No doubt this movie features lots of crying and gut-wrenching confessions of love and whatnot. Probably not the kind of part one would entrust to just any old Marilyn look alike with a convincing sexy whisper voice.

Or maybe what's throwing me off is the glaring contrast between Michelle in these premiere pics and the woman she is supposed to be impersonating. Not to say that she's ugly. She just doesn't look like Marilyn. Still, decide for yourself whether or not Michelle can be Marilyn when the movie hits theaters November 23rd.

Made to Order

With Christina Hendricks around how can they pass up that opportunity to bring the buxom Marilyn to life! I'm certain she could handle all demands of the role.

No comment on the plastic surgery debate (I can't tell either way) but I will say she looks and sounds nothing like Marilyn Monroe and her status as the Indie Darling of the moment seems to be clouding people's objective judgement of her physical resemblance (there is none) and the true limits of her acting ability. I don't see Marilyn Monroe in pictures or trailers for this flick, I see Michelle Williams and people pretending that she's convincing because they want her to the Great Actress she

She looked a hell of a lot better (and slightly more Marilyn-like) before she had all the ridiculous work done on her face. Now she's on the fast road to Zellweger.

What the hell are you talking about? Bad make up is not plastic surgery and is obvious she remains the same face than ever. She looks natural and lovely as usual.

Well, she certainly doesn't look much like this person from a just few years ago: [link]
