This is a great way to start off a day. The cover of this year's Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, featuring Kate Upton barely covering herself with a parka, was supposed to be kept under wraps until it was announced on "Late Night with David Letterman". Luckily for planet Earth, things didn't go as planned, and we got a sneak preview of the shoot last friday. Well, today we have the whole shebang! Apparently, once Kate was motorboated (I've always wanted to write that) to the icy landscape of Antartica, the photographers wanted to make use of their time. There are way more pics than I was expecting, and in different outfits; hell, even different environments. That bikini top painted on her body (best occupation ever, as pointed out by Droz) is so effing hot, I'm surprised the South Pole didn't turn into a puddle; or maybe it did (Al Gore must be furious)! I have to give Kate some props for making it through this thing. That is one brave hottie. On "Today", she deemed it her "hardest shoot ever" without any hesitation. “ "It was an accomplishment just to get through the shoot", she says. "When I came back, I was like losing hearing and eyesight because my body was shutting down, it was working so hard to keep me warm.” My body would work extra hard to keep you warm, Kate.
