Jennifer Lopez is going to be an American Idol judge

My interest in what they're doing on "American Idol" travels along a road parallel to my interest in Jennifer Lopez. For the first couple of seasons, when it was still a novelty, I watched out of sheer curiosity. But as time wore on and they became more of a trendy household thing that housewives in the mid-west were carving time out of their days for, I stopped giving a shit. Sure, Lopez gets to crow about how lucky she is that "AI" is now affording her the opportunity to be in one place for 6 months so that she can concentrate more on being a mother (Um... How exactly is taking on a new full-time job going to give you more free time other than you're not going to be traveling around?) and the housewives will be able to henpeck her choice of apparel after each week passes, but other than seeing how much Steven Tyler is going to get on her nerves, does anyone else really give a shit?
