These shots of Kate Winslet taken for the April edition of Glamour magazine intrigue me. Not just because Kate is smoking hot - which she is. It's more for the fact that they appear to be totally raw images, untouched by the blemish intolerant Photoshop masters that eventually had their way with them before they found their way to the newsstands. Seeing the raw images really makes you understand how pointless much of the retoucher's work ultimately is. I mean, if there was some kind of lighting problem or the person was just not looking good that day, I could understand doing it.But is there anything about Kate's moles or the small lines she's got around her mouth that somehow make her unacceptable as a standard for beauty? Does the fact that she might have a hair out of place in one shot or not have as much cleavage as they might like her to have in another, mean that you wouldn't want to jump on her like a mad person? Of course not. So why bother with all the airbrushing? Silly.
