Katie Melua is a new face to me but is super rich in the UK

When I found these pictures of Katie Melua, I just thought she was a cute girl perhaps trying to make it as something; A singer, an actress, a reality show train wreck, I honestly didn't care. I liked her eyes and her smile, so I right clicked and saved the images and then went to Google her to figure out why she would have been one of the invited guests at the seventh annual Emeralds & Ivy charity event in honor of cancer research, held in the UK over the weekend. Turns out she's one of the richest young musicians in the UK. A singer, Katie has been a big hit across the pond, amassing a fortune to make her the 7th richest musician under the age of 30 (she's currently 28). Now I feel guilty for thinking that the only music that made money was from pop princesses in latex or imported Canadian annoyances in untied sneaks. If you know more about her, please dish.
