I'm old enough to remember running out to rent Keanu Reeves movies like PERMANENT RECORD. I should have been able to guess back then that Mr. Reeves had a bigger future ahead of him than just bending the 1's and 0's with his mind. It's no joke that the serious nature of Keanu's life has lead to the viral sensation of Sad Keanu (although you can just smell Leonardo DiCaprio waiting for his strut to take over first place). But the fact that Reeves himself is now making light of the label is very righteous indeed.
In an interview with Vulture, the actor had it explained to him how images of himself sullenly eating lunch on a park bench have been extensively photoshopped next to other images ranging from Forrest Gump to pandas. "Oh, that's funny. So they like take paparazzi pictures and re-contextualize them? Funny," laughed Reeves. "Well, it sounds like harmless, good clean fun. Yeah, I haven't seen them. But given the scope and scale of what can happen out there, that sounds like an all right one. It sounds conceptually funny."
Keanu was at the Woodstock Film Festival over the weekend, accepting an award for acting excellence and debuting his newest flick, HENRY'S CRIME. The movie marks the first time that the actor has taken on producing duties.
