It's been a mystery to me how programs on television decide to cast characters if there's anything more to looking for an actor or actress outside of their comedic timing for say a sitcom. Take Amy Davidson for example. When the petite redhead was on the John Ritter comedy, "8 Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter," she was cast as the younger sister to her co-star, Kaley Cuoco even though K.C. is 6 years younger than Davidson.
Now, when I look at the ginger next to her best buddy, former "Party of Five," youngster Lacey Chabert, I'm seeing a shortie who looks to be nearly Lacey's mother's age. I know that with sun exposure and whatnot the fairer redheads do not age all that well, but with Lacey having just celebrated her 30th birthday this past September and Amy being a little less than 4 years older than Chabert I have to wonder what made a casting director think that she was younger than Kaley Cuoco? *Shrug*
The two friends seem to like each other quite a bit - or at least Davidson seems to be cradling the moment as they pose at the Stella Dot fashion trunk show that was held last weekend with proceeds benefiting the Noreen Fraser Foundation.
